A wonderful memory of being in first grade at Denali Elementary School, in Anchorage, the year 1958 the memory was this, poetry by, Mr. Robert Frost. The teacher read aloud his poems and I could visualize what she was reading. Astonishing as it was, I was indeed a true admirer of not only, Mr. Robert Frost...many more poets at a very young age.
"Whose woods these are I think I know, His house is in the village though; He will not see me stopping here To watch his woods fill up with snow." (from Stopping By woods On A Snowy Evening) Stringing words together that may ryhme or not, expressions and emotions came from these poems. Its truly remarkable and the poets are so talented. A true gift. Autumn has arrived and it is time to enjoy the colors of the changing leaves, a warm beverage, a pastry and a book of your favorite poems, be it indoors or outdoors, drink in the words and relax. For my daughter, Nikki, the English school teacher, I dedicate to you, this blog, in honor of your up coming birthday. Love you lots, Mom xox

Have you ever felt like you were walking in mud, up hill, in lead boots? Trying to accomplish a simple task or even a difficlut one can be most annoying. So, stop and get away from it awhile and start again with a fresh outlook. As they say, "try, try, again." Good luck!
All my best, Mary Jane Dougherty Studying the 200th Anniversary of Francis Scott Key's, Star Spangled Banner" is most interesting. An idea from one person can influence so many. Keep up the "good work" and you might be the one that has something to show the world!
